Remodeling x2

Dear Friends and Family,

Dah dah da da dah...(the words of Dennis Chaput after finishing a big project)!!! We restored the original wood floors that we discovered underneath our carpet. Talk about very hard work. I read two books and info. at Lowe's about restoring wood floors and let me tell you...I was worried. I was thinking, "what have we gotten ourselves into?" After working from 2:30 pm till 2:30 in the morning on Saturday, several top coats on Sunday, and the final coat on Monday and we finally finished. I hope you enjoy the pictures (Shannon, the pictures of Bella are for you).

House Remodel

I completely forgot to mention the remodeling at our home. Andrew and I have decided to take on a couple projects with my Dad's help. I didn't take pictures of the before of the kitchen, stair well, and ceiling. We put in a dishwasher, a pantry, and redid our living room ceiling. Oh what fun. Now we (meaning me) have decided to blow out three windows and makes a bigger doorway from our foyer into our living and remove the window into our bathroom. (Don't ask) Here are the pictures of the before...the finished project will be posted at a later time.

Our First Anniversary

Dear Friends and Family,

July 15th, 2006 at 2:00 o'clock, Andrew took my hand in marriage. So to celebrate this amazing moment in history, you can send your card (with a check) to: 634 27th Street, South Bend Indiana 46635. Just joking! Seriously...Andrew and I have been together for seven years now and it sure has been a journey. He is the love of my life. And he gave me a precious gift...Bella. (our dog)

Pampered Chef

Dear Friends,

I want to personally invite you to my Pampered Chef Catalog Party. If you love to cook, have an organized kitchen, or even look good when you are cooking...then this is for you. I would love to give you a catalog and order form. ACTUALLY, I am a bit selfish because the more items that people order, the more things I get free. So, if you want to order something or see what they have...let me know(missann1983@aol.com). Feel free to let friends and family know also. The orders need to be in to me by July 23rd. I'm needy...just look at me above this desperate posting!

Engaged?

July 6th at around 11 pm, Tim decided to ask the hand of Kim Gustafson at the East Race. Kim responded as well as she did giving the toast at my wedding. Oh...if you weren't there she did a lot of crying. As you probably can figure out, she said yes. So soon, Kim Gustafson will be Kim Burkey, yeah! So congratulation to Tim and Kim and tying the knot. Plus, extra thanks to Tim for making my best friend my future sister (in-law).

Abbie...

Tonight July 3rd... and I get a call saying "you need to rush over to Growing Kids, the alarm is going off and the police are on their way." Well...I get everything taken care of at GK and I checked my voicemail before I left. My mom had called my direct line to my office and of course I wasn't in there and she left a message. The message said, "I just wanted to let you know that we are taking Abbie in today." She was crying. I knew what was going to happen. Abbie was getting very sick and was misbehaving on a regular basis. I know it was time but I loved this doggie sooo much. Just think of a miniature goat, that eats her own poo, and acts like she's starving at all times. That was Abbie. She was an overweight beagle, who would sleep on top of the couch, which by the way, she destroyed by making the cushions sag, but was always there to warm your feet. Well anyways, "Abbie, I love you and I just wanted to say goodbye."

Married? Uhh...

In a little over a week, it will be our (Andrew and Ann's) first anniversary. That's right. For those people who are looking at our picture, you are probably wondering, "who would let that fifteen year old girl get married?" Actually, Andrew and I are well over the fifteen year old mark. It has been an exciting roller coast the past 7 years. From hanging out, to dating, and now marriage. I wouldn't change a thing.

Well, you will get to know us because everyone says we need to set up a blog or face book thingy. (According to Kim, this is the only way I will know whats going on with everyone) I don't get it but I will try to keep up with the postings.
