10 months and counting

So to celebrate Luke's 10 months we decided to get tubes put in. As you can see he wasn't too nervous but I thought he looked so cute in his little gown. The surgrey only took 10 minutes. He did great up until he woke up from the operation and didn't see mommy so when they walked us back I could hear him crying.

Later that day I put together our new coffee table and Luke decided he wanted to play in the box. I guess your never too young to play in a cardboard box.

Then on Saturday I bought him his new carseat. Still to small to seat facing forward but either way he thought he was big stuff.
It is so crazy that he will be 1 in two short months. I have already starting planning the birthday bash. He is the best thing that has ever happened to our little family. Sorry bella.

Randomness of the current happenings...

We went to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina last week for vacation and as you can see we really enjoyed our time. We rented a condo and it was a blast. Relaxed at the beach, drove around in our golf cart, and took many naps...that's a good time.

Every time we went to the beach Luke fell a sleep on me for at least an hour and then he played. He enjoyed the ocean too!

One time I decided to just take him into the water without a swim diaper on and that was a mistake...he pooped in his trunks.
We spent some time with Sam, Shannon, and Gavin. We had a good time with them. Gavin was putting toys up alround Luke in the exersaucer then he tried tossing a toy to him. Luke wasn't impressed.

Before we left for vacation Luke was wait for me to get him out of his class to eat...and he just didn't make it.

We went to the zoo a couple weeks ago. The Podjans, the grand parents, and the Burkeys had fun int he heat. Here we were watching Lilly ride a pony.

Luke finished up his swimming lessons and what a pro he is. I think he really enjoys being in the water. He is a natural.

Then after his swimming lessons this is what happens. He gets so tuckered out and apparently he needs all of his pacifiers to comfort him into a deep sleep.

June updates

I haven't blogged in a while so we have been up to a lot. So the pictures are in no certain order. Today is Father's day and Luke's 8 months of life! So after I fed him this morning before church he fell asleep and I actually was able to change his diaper without waking up. That has never happened!

After Sunday dinner with the fam, Kate, Matt, Judah, Lilly, Luke and Myself went swimming at George and Norma's (my parents neighbors). Luke was so worn out that we once again fell asleep as we were waking back to my parents house seconds after getting out of the pool.

Luke got his dad and himself watching outfits. They were suppose to wear cargo shorts but Andrew said it would look like they were going on a sarfri.

Luke also worked har on finger painting a picture for father's day using green beans He is so talented.

He has gotten good at eating harder foods such as the mum mums. He loves these corn rusks. So they are called.

Luke is now taking baths in the big boy tub. This is his first time in and he did so good splashing, playing with toys and folding over to drink the water. He is growing up so fast.

Last weekend Phil, Aaron, Kim, Andrew, Luke and myself wen to the strawberry festival. If you didn't go you didn't miss anything. This is a picture of them watching the 8 fire engines go by real slowly with all of the serines going off. Nice!

Also that same weekend Luke and Blake began their swimming lessons and the new YMCA in Niles. They did so go and man does it tried luke out.
Luke is probably the coolest kid EVER! Sorry to the other parents that didn't get blessed with Luke.

Fort Bragg Visit

Last Saturday Luke and I flew to Fayetteville, NC to welcome home Sam from Iraq. It was an eventful trip. Luke got pink eye...from a cousin I will not name in which Gavin, Shannon, and my mom ended up getting as well. Then Luke got a fever and really didn't sleep through the night...pretty much woke up every 1-2 hours. The first picture is Shannon hold Luke in Medex which by the way does not doesn't take children 2 and younger. They didn't tell us until hours after sitting there. So when we did fly home the next day we went ot Medpoint and they told us nothing was wrong. I didn't accept seeing that he still had a temp and was not happy. So we went to Dr. Caruso in the morning and guess what another double ear infection!!!

Sam did so good with Luke. Luke always smiled at him. He really does know his uncle Sammy! I think this is right before he left for work on the motorcycle.
Oh, I got a picture with him. Yikes...someone really needs to get into the sun.

Sam got in Sunday around midnight. Luke, Gavin, Lilly, and Judah so good being up at this hour. Judah danced to the army band while Gavin was waving lots of flags. Lilly made a new friend and Luke was just being prefect!!! This picture was right after they were dismissed.

Kate was just excited to be apart of the event.
You can tell it was WAY past my bed time.
I had Luke on my shoulders and he vomited down on my hair and down my face. Delightful!
Bumma was bonding with lil Luke.

Kate brought some warmer clothes for Luke to wear and for some odd reason she thought that I would take Luke out in public in this thing. I apologize if any of you have something like this for your child...but it really bad. I think thats why Kate try giving to my because she didn't let Judah wear when he was little.

On my last day there Gavin and Luke went for a walk in the neighborhood and Luke was excited because it was actually a nice day that didn't rain.

7 months

"I love being outside."

So Luke is 7 months today and he is still loving life. He is finally sleeping through the night. Yippee! He is really close to sitting unassisted. He can sit by himself for about 5 minutes before he gets distracted by something and he falls over, as you can see. Tip to self...don't take pictures right before bedtime. As you can tell he wasn't too happy.

Life gets busy

Things have really gotten busy at home. Tonite Andrew left work earlier so Luke helped him mow the lawn. What a man...I guess Andrew is one too!

Luke rode on th ebye bye buggie at GK this afternoon. He is slightly crying here because he saw his mommy. Well, I had to take a picture of this big moment.

Two weeks ago Luke was sent home with a fever. As you can see he doesn't look too hot. This picture is of him coughing, it was sad to hear. He ended up having a double ear infection. This poor kid doesn't get a break.

We had a breakfast get together the day Shannon left for Fort Bragg. So here are all of the cousin. I think Logan was really enjoying picture time!

One day after work, Luke and I watched a movie and he fell asleep playing. So cute.
Erin and Dan brought a bouncy seat over for Luke. He was excited toplay in it.
