Carpet Crisis

I forgot to mention about when I left the house for 2 hours I left Charlie and Bella alone in the office. Why the office you ask? Because there is nothing besides a desk with a computer and one shelf with books we don't read. Well, I get home after ONLY 2 hours and this is what I see!

Life...

It is slightly strange when your husband holds a dog like a baby until the dog falls asleep.
Lilly really wasn't into picture taking. She was more into wanting to look at herself in the camera.

Well, as you see I am really bad at updating my blog probably due to the fact that I truly have no life. I work, sleep, hang out with my dogs or my baby (my niece Lilly). Lilly came over several weeks ago to hangout with us. So, I attempted to take some pictures and as you can see I don't have Kate's talent.



Updates about Andrew and I are...trying to rebook our cruise for sometime in August. This time we will go a day earlier so we don't have a repeat of last year. We are getting two rooms recarpeted due to our lovely dog Charlie tearing up the doorway of one of the room. Thanks Charlie! Other than Andrew being sick the past several of days, not much has happened. I guess you can say its nice to count on the routine of life instead of "change!" I am not a fan of change.

Spa DAY!

So for my Birthday, Tia gave me a gift certificate to Ja Ross Salon and day spa. I was so excited because I love massages. I woke up and tried to call in to confirm my reservation but I kept getting disconnected. Well, I bundled up and shoveled a load of snow. (as seen below) I got inside and changed and headed over for my well-needed massage. And to my surprise the staff decided not to come in. Come to find out that I scheduled my massage for Feb. 1stnot Jan. 1st!!! Needless to say, I don't know if I can make it that long...

Snowing

I HATE shoveling. Maybe because I am short which makes it difficult to get it over the pile, or because I swell up afterwards, or maybe because when you shovel up the snow it sticks to the shovel. Atleast I look cool doing it in my dress boots, pj pants, and my airborne hat!

Another Year...

It must be a new year because Scott had a DATE!!!

We brought in the new year at Scottie's house. We played cards, board games, and just had a good time hanging out. Atleast until the snow got so bad we all had to shovel out to get home. I really hate the snow. Besides being sleepy because I got in from Kansas at 11:30am and had a showing of our house with very little notice, we had a good time. Let's hope this year is better than last year!

Burkey Christmas

Well, for the first time in many years, I celebrated Christmas on Christmas with Andrew's family. We had the whole family over to our place because Dan and Erin are remodeling their place. It was a tight fit! We had a very good time even with lunch being served at 4 (instead of 12, Mark had some set backs) and the movie being sold out. Sorry about the quality of the pictures.

Nothing NEW

Sorry that I am really bad at updating my blog. Nothing really happens in the Burkey household...at least that people would want to read about. Currently the house is decorated for my favorite holiday of the year, CHRISTMAS! My family will get together on Saturday and Sam and Shannon will drive in that day. Yeah! Last Thursday was the Holiday Program for my center. We had a little over 500 people show up and I was really nervous to speak. Apparently I sounded fine. We had about 150 kids perform, ranging from 2-6 years old. It was crazy. My doggies are good, but Charlie is a stinker. Charlie was take after Andrew and Bella must take after me! It Snowed bad on Sunday and I woke up early to shovel so we could make it to church on time. Then 5minutes before we walk out the door my mom calls and says, "you know we called church off." AHHH...na! I hate snow. That's it from me. I will take more pictures during the holidays so there is something to look at.
