28 weeks

Not the best,or most attractive picture of myself but here you go. This is me at 28 weeks pregnant. It was laundry day so I didn't have a maternity shirt so I do realize it is a little short. Amelia has been pretty kind to me so far. I don't have to get up in the middle of the night to go potty yet, which I very much appreciate. It is cool to experience the differences in between Luke and Amelia. Luke wasn't very active and Amelia gives me awesome kicks and wiggles frequently. Just excited for us all to meet her!

Pictures

This was me at about 20 weeks pregnant with Amelia. Yes I realize that I am now 28 weeks I am just a little behind on taking pictures.

We had a good snow about a month ago so Luke had some fun scooping it and yes by the time he was finished he had striped down naked. Like usual!
This is the progress on the basement. Poor Andrew has like 60 days or so to give the whole thing done. As more gets completed I will post more pictures.

Baby Update

So I just felt no one was reading my blog but Kim says that she checks it so I guess I will continue.

For those who don't know I am for sure having a little girl. We are going to name her Amelia Ann. Amelia after my great grandma and Ann...well...because of me.

Luke is really becoming a little man. He reminds me so much of myself. He has to do everything himself so I frequently hear "no, I do it!" all day long. But he makes sure to love on me. He still loves his cuddle time and I sure am going to eat that up until I have another little one depending on me.

The basement is coming a long very slowly. Hopefully in the next month our egress windows will be installed and poor Andrew has a lot to do.

I promise to post pictures.

Merry Christmas

Our little celebrated Jesus' brth yesterday. We had a great time. We woke up and Andrew and Luke opened their stokings and then Luke opened his presents. We then had breakfast at the Cracker Barrel with Tim, Kim, and Kiersten. It was a blast!

Later on we decorated a whole bunch of sugar cookies. Well...Andrew and I did. Luke ended up just licking the frosting out of the bowl and pouring some on to a cooke, which he ate. That was a special treat for him because I really don't give me sweets.

It was a great day. Today we will be going to fellowship at church and then Luke and I will pack up and head to Kansas for a week with my parents. Andrew will stay behind to continue to work on the basement. We don't have much longer because we would like the basement finished before baby #2 joins this world in May.

Oh, for those who don't know we did have an ultrasound but our little bundle was exteremely active that the tech could barely get any pictures. So she said she thinks that baby is...a girl? She added the ? so for now we are calling the baby Amelia until my next ultrasound on January 30th. Hopefully "Amelia" will be a little more calm because I would ike to know for sure. The tech told me not to buy anything because right now its likea 55% chance it's girl.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday season and don't forget why this season even exists. A little baby was born in order to wash away OUR sins. Thank you baby Jesus!

Chaput Christmas

We had my family's Christmas on Saturday and Luke was very excited. So I had him pose in front of one of our trees before we left to go. I think he is darn cute.
Before we were able to open up presents Lilly dressed up as an angel and told the story of Jesus' birth with my mom's help.
Sunday the kids preformed at church but there was a confusion on what kids did what songs so as you can see Luke is acting like he did not know these songs...because he didn't.

2011

Man oh Man did a lot happen in 2011. So since I never put out a Christmas newsletter...this will have to count.

We got pregnant in late Spring but ended up having a miscarriage on vacation in Gatlinburg. It was very difficult on us.

Andrew and I made a huge decision to have me step down from my Director position and work part, part time from home to allow me to be a full time mom starting in September. BEST DECISION EVER!

A week after stepping down we find out we are pregnant. (He get to find out if it is a boy or girl the week before Christmas...so that is an awesome gift...being able to call the baby and name instead of "baby.")

Luke got potty trained before he turned 2 in October. He also began recognizing letters and counting to 5. The best part is he is starting to put sentences together. Some awesome phrases he says around the house would be "oh man," "thats awesome,"and "oh nuts." He is a smart, loving little boy that has a little stinker part to him.

We recently broke him from his paci and changed is bed into the full size version. And he has done great. The big perk is that he seems to have transitioned from waking up in the morning at 4:30 to now waking up around 5:30 or 6. YAY! And I did that all while Andrew was in Florida for work.

Andrew will not be going with us to Kansas this year (boo) because he is on short time line to get the basement completely remodeled before baby number 2 comes in May. But so far he has done a great job from demo to framing up walls and other things I didn't know of.

So in short that was our year. And I cannot wait to see what 2012 holds for us. (when I go to my other computer I will post some pictures form 2011)

Luke's Birthday

Luke's birthday theme was art because, well, he loves art so we had lots of crafts for the kids to do.
Towards the end of the party Luke fell asleep on Uncle Tim, then passed on to Aunt Kate and then I took him and got him to wake up with the promise of a cookie but it was a cupcake instead.

Luke is attempting to ride the wild hog herself...Bella.

For Luke's Birthday my mom, myself, and Luke went to the Shedd Aquarium. He had a blast!

And yes...that is a duck with the fish.
