Amelia is 6 weeks!

My baby girl is 6 weeks old today. So far she was been wonderful. She sleeps great, is usually in good spirits, and she takes will to her brother. I plan on moving her into her room in the next weeks. I could do it now but she does wake up occasionally when her paci falls out.The old issue she is having is puking...just like Luke did. So you may have to bring an extra shirt or two.

Life going fast

So Amelia had her bath last week and she really didn't enjoy it. I felt bad but she will soon LOVE bath time if she is anything like her brother.
Luke went to his first movie with Kate, Judah, Zion, Amelia, and myself. For a while Luke nd Zion shared a seat and uke was feeding Zion popcorn. Oh, the movie was Madagascar 3 and I have no clue what it was about because both Luke and Zion made it had to difficult. They were bored!
This is Amelia at exactly 4 weeks old. She still mainly smiles when she is sleeping, so that is why her eyes are closed. These two are precious and helping me stay busy. Love em!!!

Big Week

So Sunday Amelia was dedicated. She looked so cute. She had a puffy cream colored dress...and it was a premie. She is such a tiny little peanut. It was cute when my dad put the oil on her forehead because she smiled.
Today Amelia is 3 weeks old. So I wanted to get a picture of Luke holding her and in every picture she looks like she is in pain or she is just scared of her big brother :)

We celebrated her 3rd week of life by going to the zoo. She slept the entire time and Luke had  blast because I let him actually walk most of the time instead of restraining the little stinker. All in all a great day beside the part where Luke slept in the car on the way home for like 10 minutes...which means he will not nap at all when we get home.

Welcome Amelia

So a little over 2 weeks ago I had the honor to welcome Amelia Ann into this world. She came very quickly. I was scheduled to be induce on Tuesday the 22nd and that morning I woke up and my water broke. So when we arrived to the hospital they were still going to hook me up to pitocin. That started at about 8. Bad cobtractions started around 9ish and Amelia came at 11:48am.

She was 7.2 pounds and 20.5 inches long. She was crying so hard.

So the past two weeks has been wonderful. Amelia is a very good girl. She pretty much sleeps and eats. She have ventured out almost every day because Luke is bored and she is such a trooper. By the way, uke is totally in love with her. He wants to hold her, pet her, and kiss her all the time. He really has proven himself to be a great big brother.

I love being their mommy!!!

Tips from a Pregnant Woman

So I am officially past my due date and man have I been getting ticked by comments from others. So if you would like to stay on the good side of a pregnant woman, follow these tips:

1. Never say "Oh I thought you would have had your baby by now"
2. When the pregnant woman calls you don't immediately say "are you in labor" (some of us still have lives up until the birth of our baby)
3. Don't rub her stomach with out permission
4. Never comment on the size of the belly unless it's "you look really good..."

Those are just a few of the things that could help you stay on the good side of a pregnant woman.

Zoo

So last Friday we (meaning my mom and myself) took Luke to the Fort Wayne Zoo. We had a blast. I was hoping that with all the walking I might go into labor, but that didn't happen. Luke was able to pet goats, ride the smallest pony ever among many other things. I will totally be going back, possible when there are not as many schools doing field trips.

On other news, I have a little less than 2 weeks before my due date. I am just hoping she arrives early. I have my bags packed and am just waiting for any type of sign for labor. So come on out Amelia!!! Mommy wants to hold you outside of the uterus.

Prayers

So I might be bragging a little bit but I think Luke is especially brilliant. He is not even two and a half and he is able to recognize most of the alphabet, he can count to 11, and man can he communicate. But for the past month, he started to pray and it is the cutest thing ever. He prays for all of his meals and for boo boos. He totally expects for the pain to be gone once he is finished praying which is awesome faith in the Lord. I love my boy.

On another page, he is starting to sing to Amelia every morning. He has to lift up my shirt and lay his head on my tummy and he either sings or hums. I really hope that he understand that Amelia is real and that he is not just singing to my stomach but he says good morning to her and gives her a kiss. He is going to be such a good brother!
